Devon Domanski | Editor, Curriculum Development Architect
Born in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, Devon is a true Jack-of-All-Trades woman. She approaches her daily “grind” with more pizzazz than most of us can muster on our best of days! Although she has a humorous and lovely demeanour (and a few theatrical credits under her belt), Devon is a whole lot of business underneath.
In her younger days, Devon used to tour with an organization called “Women in Motion.” The goal was to empower and motivate young girls aged 13 to 16 to start thinking about career choices in arenas that would otherwise be considered “untraditional” for females. Devon acted as their Youth Ambassador, Emcee and also coached the girls from a “peer-perspective.”
Devon continued to follow her passions for empowerment and activism and worked for international retailer, The Body Shop, for close to 10 years. Her role allowed her to travel North America creating excitement on various operational, social and environmental campaigns. Her key responsibilities not only encompassed skincare and make-up training, she was also a key contact for values training which included: Activate Self-Esteem, Against Animal Testing, Defend Human Rights and Protect Our Planet. Through this organization, Devon has worked to support Community Trade (Fair Trade) partners and initiatives in various international locations and aided in the promotion of various social campaigns like Climate Change Awareness, Stop Violence in the Home, and Stop Sex Trafficking of Children and Young People. A truly rewarding experience as Devon had the utmost privilege of liaising and meeting with Somaly Mam – one of Time Magazine’s 100 Most Influential People in the World.
As an accredited teacher who still keeps up all professional designations, Devon is one of our primary architects focusing on curriculum and developing our academic program for the youth participating in The Fellowship Project.
These days, Devon has found a home at the Toronto-based experiential marketing agency, BOOM! where she managers several accounts. She maintains a great rapport with her clients and colleagues, and gets great satisfaction working in an environment that allows her to activate her many passions and diverse skill set.
Devon injects F-U-N into our awesome group and wherever she goes. People enjoy working with her as she has the unique ability to motivate and inspire others, easily and effectively with her natural spunk!
